I am greeting all of you who attend for this great ceremony of yeoungsanjae
which is essence of Buddhist art, spreading widely and quietly in this temple
at the beginning of greenery early summer. And I would like say thank to all
people who are working for this ceremony every year and are supporting and
recognize of importance of value of art of Buddhism, of Mimistry of Culture
and Tourism and Cultural Heritage Administration.
We have been tried to spread all over the world, how yeoungsanjae is truly
high quality of Korea?? culture at the same time Buddhist art, essence of
teaching of Buddha, last for 30 years.
I am so proud of ceremony of yeoungsanjae which is conducting every year
here at BONGWON TEMPLE, this proud is not only me but also BONGWON
TEMPLE moreover TAE GO order and Budhism of Korea.
Yeoungsanjae, practiced in BONGWON TEMPLE since GORYEO dynasty, is
well known as Buddhist ceremony for teaching of to obtain happiness and get
out of sorrow, and reappearance of the Sutra of the Lotus, growth of country
and peace of the world.
BONGWON TEMPLE has been doing all over the world like U.S.A. and
JAPAN etc.. to perform yeoungsanjae to show how this ceremony is great as
a culture of Korea on base on a intangible world heritage by UNESCO.
And we are stepping out together with people as we perform yeoungsanjae
where they had great sorrow and wish for country as DOKDO, BAEkRYUNG
DO, GEOJEDO, etc..
I respect from bottom of my heart to our ancestor monks who did all their
effort to success of yeoungsanjae. I am thankful to all the monks whether
same order or not, and thankful again to give full support for our ceremony
of of Mimistry of Culture and Tourism and Cultural Heritage Administration
and lastly thanks to all the public.
We yeoungsanjae will do our best to keep fresh and live yeoungsanjae base
on happiness of human according to time change, and make systematic of
scientific and theoretic with scholars from Korea as well as from abroad.
Today, I will pray to all of you to attend this ceremony to have comfortable
mind and heart after hearing of Beompae sound.
